Berlin
Berlin was the second last stop on my way back to New Zealand. We made a two-day visit in the city. Berlin is big, on everything. The landscape, the culture and the politics. Roland detailed planned trips to the hotel, to different sight seeing sites and to Tegel airport. It always takes a while in the train to get to the places. I didn't see much German things around (I mean things make me think typically German), maybe because it was covered by the Wall and War. It's impossible for a tourist to miss out or feel less heavy what history Berlin carries. There are postcards about the Wall and War in the shops and posters on the streets. It reminds me of China: we have similar TV programs every now and then to tell people what we went through in the Anti-Japanese War, so that we shall not forget and forgive - there are unsolved issues.
